The motion of the legs, combined with the motion of the shark's body worked so well together in the drawing that I had to find a way to keep the legs in, while still keeping the overall feeling of the painting.

The Three Sisters

A painting for my friend Chris. The challenge was portraying the Harpies as the true and as horrific as they would really be. To make the cabin of the aircraft look like a really gruesome murder scene, and to show that there had been a long struggle before they finally pried the pilots out.
